Make and publish a podcast
People are always looking for new ways to consume information, ‘listening’ is very unobtrusive and its use is growing on the Internet. Many people liken podcasting to radio ‘on demand’ however, in reality; podcasting gives far more options in terms of content and programming than radio does.
So how do I podcast?
The most common types of Podcast are mp3 audio files. Basic voice files can be created using a microphone plugged into you desk or laptop voice recorder. Better quality podcasts can be created using standard audio mixing equipment and editing software such as Adacity™.
After you have created your account simply upload your mp3 files to a folder on your website. Login to your account and paste your podcast web-address into the 'Insert Podcast URL' box followed by clicking the 'publish' button.
We then create a Podcast RSS feed and ‘ping’ (alert) the search engines and relevant directories of the new broadcast. Users can then find your Podcasts on keywords you assign to it on portals such as iTunes™, Google, Yahoo and MSN Live™. Users can also bookmark your Podcast on popular social networks such as Del.icio.us, Facebook®, Technorati and MySpace®
